Job Description

The Regional Quality Engineer role is focused on maintaining and improving quality standards and processes for partially finished or finished materials produced at both the Cleveland and Painesville Films Facilities. This role will work cross-functionally within Operations, Engineering and Maintenance on quality improvement projects. The Regional  Quality Engineer will also ensure corrective measures meet acceptable standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. Ability to work cross-functionally, influence others and knowledge of the Label and Graphic Materials businesses are key to the role.

In your role as Regional Quality Engineer, delivering on these responsibilities is critical to success: 

  • Drive improvements to the quality metrics (complaints and cost) and ensure sustainment.
  • Lead internal and external customer quality improvement with a focus on specific customers/trending issues.
  • Provide operational support related to issue resolution, product quality/risk assessment and product disposition.
  • Continually improve & optimize current products through variation reduction.
  • Create and/or improve processes that add value to our customers.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical related field such as Material Sciences or Chemical Engineering. 

Experience: 

  • 6+ years relevant quality experience within a manufacturing environment, including deep understanding of products and processes; or 
  • 4+ years related quality experience with a Masters Degree.

Other:

  • Strong problem solving and statistical skills.
  • Strong knowledge of systems and ISO requirements.  
  • Six Sigma Training is a plus and Green Belt Certification preferred. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation skills.
  • Be able to effectively work and collaborate with various functions, team members and levels within the organization.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Requires strong organizational skills and detail orientation.
