Job Description

Are you ready to face the challenge of solving technical problems within manufacturing hands on? Would you like to put your theoretical skills into practice and test your talents collaborating with multiple functions?

We are currently looking for an Intern to support our Engineering team in our production site in Alphen aan den Rhijn! In this role, you will not only be exposed to the daily tasks of a Process Engineer working in a manufacturing environment, but also get responsibility and exposure by working on your own project.

In close collaboration with multidisciplinary functions, you will be in charge to improve a crucial part of our film production process linking to the definition of air flows in the drying tunnel to determine the optimum between drying and fusion of a PVC cast on the one hand and a reduction of energy and emissions on the other hand.

This project is also suitable for a Research Project or a Thesis!

The preferred start date is September 15th 2020. The ideal candidate is available for 4-5 days a week for a duration of 4-6 months.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who are highly motivated and thriving in a dynamic and collaborative environment. 

What we also expect from you:

  • Currently following a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or an Engineering Degree with focus on chemistry
  • Ability to work and collaborate with in a multidisciplinary team
  • Initiative to explore, self-starter
  • Pragmatic / hands on mentality
