Job Description

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for all supply chain activities within the plant, being contact to Customer Service, Planning, Purchasing, Shipping and Subcontracting with strong focus on improving service to the customer, accountable for inventory management.

Position responsibilities include but are not limited to the following;

  • Responsible for the complete scope of the Supply chain & Logistics function such as Demand ,  Inventory , Production Planning & other Execution activities  such as Procurement, Warehousing, Transportation, Imports & Export including  C&F Management.

  • Organize / manage the supply chain & Logistics function within a given entity and ensure compliance with the Regional supply chain & procurement strategy.

  • Overseeing supply chain organization in the country, People management and leadership (Recruitment / Selection / Training & Development / Coaching / Conflict Management / Performance Management).

  •  Identify and lead Supply Chain improvement projects in the country. Identify process bottlenecks and drive process improvements.

  • Establishing a strong Sales & Operations Planning Process in the Country for Demand & Supply Balancing.

  • Supplier’s Management & Developing Outsourcing Capabilities. 

  • Control the Inventory & Maintain Inventory Targets.

  • Driving efficiency in Supply Chain & logistics to improve service level & reduce costs. 

  • Coordinate with Suppliers & Logistics partners to get the right material at the right time.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and CS teams.

Qualifications

This position requires a detailed understanding of the manufacturing process, product, raw material, market, technology on one hand and strategies, activities, status and goals of the company on the other.  The candidate should:

  • Have MBA / Degree in Supply Chain/ Bachelors in Engineering.

  • Have 10 – 12 years of experience in managing supply chain organization of manufacturing industry.

  • Headed supply chain organization previously, preferably MNC background. 

  • Have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, internally and externally.

  • Be fluent in English.

  • Have PC Literacy and working knowledge of MS Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Have Exposure to ERP such as Oracle or Texas.

  • Sound understanding of continuous improvement programs (Kaizen, Six Sigma, etc.)
