Job Description

 

Do you want to have an impact within a leading and global leading company? 

We are looking for an EMEA Transport Optimization Manager who is an essential role within the European transport organization. 

Ideally, you could be based in Belgium, Luxembourg or France. 

In this crucial role, you will create impact within our Supply Chain / Transport organization by: 

Leading strategic projects and continuous improvement initiatives with carriers and internal stakeholders, in order to improve transport costs and service (80%) 

Carrying out network optimization projects (routing, balancing transport costs, production and deadlines) 

Developing new transport strategies (carrier selection, frequency of shipments, direct or indirect, delivery instructions) and logistics (optimization of trucks within the network) developing transport digitalization (cost and service optimization for our customers) 

You will of course manage the "results" aspect of these projects and you will have to: Monitor the impact of projects on the annual operational plan (POA) and trigger corrective actions Produce and communicate regularly from s transport financial plans / forecasts 

Play an active role in the management of the transport budget (> 80m €) 

In addition, you will, in a very operational manner: 

Manage the logistics operations of maritime transport in the MENA region 

Ensure the achievement of objectives of cost and performance in the region 

Manage transporters and take the lead in tenders with indirect purchases 

Set up or review the logistics process between internal and external stakeholders  

 

Qualifications

Do you want to take up this new challenge?

Ideally, your profile is as follows: 

You hold a degree in commerce, economics, logistics, engineering, data management or a similar field. 

Preferably, you have some experience or an appetite for the world of transport, supply and logistics. 

You are able to establish commercial relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 

You are able to conduct complex analyzes and make data-driven decisions. 

You have excellent written and oral communication skills and are able to simplify complex subjects for a large audience. 

You speak and write fluent English and French. 

You are organized and autonomous, and able to manage multiple priorities and competing projects within a matrix and fast environment. 

You will have trips of up to 50% of your time.
