Job Description

The Timekeeping/Payroll Analyst will act as a liaison between US Payroll, Human Resources and ADP to ensure all payroll needs motivated by company policies, payroll procedures and Federal, State and Local labor and tax laws are met in the ADP Timekeeping system. You will be based in Painesville, Ohio and report to the Payroll Supervisor based in the same location.

  • Provide application support/maintenance, as needed, in a production environment by troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Act as support for end users of the ADP Timekeeping system.
  • Develop and maintain custom reports through ADP Timekeeping, to meet the needs of HR, Finance and Payroll, including validating results and ensuring accuracy. Respond to inquiries for data and/or reports both internal and external.
  • Research complex payroll and timekeeping issues. Provide resolution to payroll team, HR, and department leadership.
  • Provide analysis, testing, and training as needed to support department initiatives.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing and sign off.
  • Conduct timecard sign off and import/export routine per the payroll processing schedule.
  • Balance time files to payroll files per internal guidelines.
  • Process daily timecard adjustments as directed by HR and people managers.
  • Perform pay data entry and process import loads.
  • Responsible for complete analysis of all payroll reports to ensure the accuracy of payroll.
  • Other payroll related tasks as identified by business needs.

Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of related functional experience in Payroll / Timekeeping or IT.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Detailed knowledge of timekeeping/payroll applications and technical aptitude.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and document processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience working in a SOX environment preferred.
  • Experience with Six Sigma or Enterprise Lean Sigma a plus.
