We’re seeking an Operations Intern to join our Label and Graphic Materials Group in North America during the summer of 2019. You will be responsible for completing an assignment focused on process improvement initiatives and collaborating with the plant’s leadership team in one of our state of the art facilities.  After a successful summer an Operations Intern may receive an offer for a returnship or a full time in our Leadership Development Program for college graduates. 

What you will be doing
The primary roles and responsibilities of this internship will be:

  • Identify and support process improvement opportunities
  • Build project plans and manage/support projects to completion
  • Assist plant leadership team and help implement plant initiatives
  • Support cross-functional teams with special projects as required
     

Qualifications

What you will need to bring to the program
Avery Dennison has a long history of being an industry leader. Your history is important to us. It should include the following:

Education

  • Pursuing a BS in Engineering - Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial,  Electrical, Computer or Automation
  • Preferred previous internship or co-op experience in a manufactuing setting 

Skills

  • Highly organized and self-motivated 
  • Solid analytical skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate a clear project plan and drive it to completion
  • Willingness to work in a team environment
  • Ability to handle multiple activities at a time and ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks 
  • Ability to work well cross-functionally

Travel

  • Ability to relocate to OH, PA, GA, IL, or IN for the duration of the summer
