You lead engineering improvements, engineering support during machine breakdown and carry out TPM activities on machinery control systems within our ASEAN locations - Malaysia (Bangi & Kajang), Thailand (Rayong & Bang Na), Indonesia (Cikarang), Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh & Hanoi), Singapore (Toh Guan). As an expert in the PLC and Drive Control system, you will participate in executing projects across ASEAN sites.You can be based in Malaysia (Bangi/Kajang) or Thailand (Rayong/Bang Na)You will be reporting to Sr Engineering Manager, ASEAN, who is based in Bangi Malaysia.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Upkeep of PLC programs for ASEAN assets by maintaining a database and develop an engineering plan to ensure hardware upgrades are deployed to minimize obsolescence.
• Providing technical support in machine problem solving and upgrading activities - troubleshooting & executing machine improvement initiatives. This could be answering calls and working with site technicians and Engineers, remotely connecting to the plant system or travelling to sites to fix the issue.
• Responsibility in projects would cover from inception stage, design reviews till installation and commissioning of a process or control system for the manufacturing asset.
• Supporting to deploy the Maintenance Inventory system to organize Spare Part storage areas at ASEAN sites mainly Distribution Centers.
• Training and Knowledge sharing within the ASEAN Team.
• Travel across ASEAN sites up to 50% based on projects.

• Bachelor’s Degree or Specialized Diploma in Automation and Controls Engineering.
• 3 years+ of relevant experience in automation engineering work in the Manufacturing or Service industry
• Experience in Siemens PLC is a must. Allen Bradley is good to have
• Experience in Siemens and Parker Drive Controls is a must.
• Exposure to SCADA operating systems would be an added advantage.
• Good understanding of basic machine controls which include induction motor control using AC Drives, tension control system, hydraulic/pneumatics and valve controls. 
• Able to troubleshoot problems as they arise and find effective solutions
• Able to map out projects, prioritize workload and keep accurate documentation
• Able to keep up with the latest techniques and technologies as they develop
