Job Description

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance & Administration, this role would suit a motivated person who is looking to develop a long-term career with an expanding & ambitious medical device manufacturing company. The successful candidate will ensure accuracy, completeness and timely processing of all related transactions in the General Accounting team in accordance with the Internal and External Accounting Guidelines by working as part of a team & be responsible for providing efficient & effective support to the GA Department & wider Stakeholders.

CONTENT

  • Processing/analysis of financial data related to the General Accounting (GA) system.
  • Month-end US GAAP reporting
  • Preparation of  all balance sheet account reconciliation’s
  • Preparation of & review of P&L for reasonableness & accuracy / cost centre reporting.
  • Work with large volumes of data and analyse same
  • Quarterly and ad hoc Corporate schedules
  • Prepare and comment on all daily / weekly / quarterly and annual sales / AOP / AM / BS & P&L Flux, etc 
  • Work  with local authority / tax / CSO as required
  • Manage Stat and Tax accounting
  • Preparation of W Schedules
  • Ensure compliance with all accounting and fiscal technical and reporting requirements
  • Ensure Internal Audits are completed in line with audit scope and all requirements completed in a timely manner
  • Participation in key BU projects & initiatives.
  • Calculating and monitoring product costs.

ENABLERS

General Accounting staff will be required to adopt a flexible working pattern to meet the changing operational requirements of the cross European customer base. General Accounting staff must be available for travel as required.

BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Qualified Accountant
  • US GAAP experience
  • Stat & Tax Accounting
  • Excellent knowledge of GA / AP / AR & AM processes and procedures
  • Fully competent in Microsoft Excel – Pivot Tables, Vlookups etc
  • Technically competent
  • Fluency in English
  • Team player
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines

Desirable

  • Advanced excel and Macros
  • Oracle 11i experience
