Job Description

(i) Business Partnership

  • Responsible for the management of all accounting and financial activities, with strong coordination with North Asia Shared Service Centre and other Corporate Finance Functions.
  • Be a valued business partner throughout the organization including, but not limited to, sales & marketing, strategy, operations, supply chain, information technology and all major business development initiatives.
  • Provide strong leadership in the areas of financial planning, budgeting, financial analysis, cost accounting, capital expenditure, working capital and expense controls.
  • Strategic planning and development of finance strategies to meet profit and growth objectives; sets medium and long-term financial targets for the sub-region.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial analysis to explain current business trends and predict future opportunities and risks.

(ii) Control and Compliance

  • Evaluate, develop and implement a sound control and compliance environment to meet US GAAP, local statutory and SOX requirements.
  • Ensure efficient and effective accounting process is in-place.
  • Organisation Capabilities and Development
  • Integrate Finance team in Korea and Japan as one team, building strong collaboration with regional team as well as other countries in North Asia
  • Partner with Asia Pacific IT to improve system capabilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting. CPA is required. MBA is desirable.
  • At least 15 years of strong financial & analytical MNC experience and 5 years of Korea country finance leadership role
  • Prior experience working across country boarders and in multicultural environment.
  • Excellent business insight, with strong knowledge of local & US legislative and
  • compliance requirements, Sarbanes Oxley processes and USGAAP reporting.
  • High level of technical & analytical skills and effective utilisation of the most up-to-date and current finance practices and processes.
  • Strategic thinker with good business instincts with capability in identifying problems and converting them into opportunities
  • Positive relationship building skills - excellent leadership, interpersonal, influencing, collaboration and communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
