At Avery Dennison, we are looking for a (Senior) Treasury Analyst to join our EMEA Treasury team based in Oegstgeest. In this role, you will be responsible for financial risk and cash management and Treasury projects. The Treasury team is aiming to become a world class Treasury function, hence we have an ambitious program of projects for the coming years. The position will offer you broad functional experience within the company and have significant exposure to key leaders in the organization including the European Treasurer and senior members of the European Finance organization. As part of our Treasury team, you will support the Treasury FX Manager and coordinate with your team and your colleagues on activities such as financial risk management (foreign exchange (FX), commodity, counterparty), cash management, intercompany loans, bank relationship management, financial modeling and analysis. For all of these activities, we are continuously seeking to improve our financial risk management approaches, processes and systems.

Activities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide financial market analysis and propose related financial risk management strategies.
  • Support the Treasury FX Manager in the execution of FX transactions.
  • Support the Treasury FX Manager when working with leading financial institutions to ensure high quality service with respect to foreign exchange and financial risk management.
  • Perform periodic analysis on FX exposures, FX gains/losses, etc., interact with the internal stakeholders on these topics and provide related reporting to senior financial management.
  • Contribute to various regional and global Treasury projects, that are aimed to drive process efficiency, in areas such as financial risk management, cash management, intercompany loans and systems.
  • Ensure consistent collaboration with multiple functional areas, including the business units, Tax, Legal, IT, local, regional and global Finance teams and the shared service centers.
  • Coordinate with the shared service centers to ensure proper recording of Treasury activities/transactions.

Qualifications

What we expect from you! - Your Expertise:

  • Master’s degree in Economics, with a strong preference for specialization in Finance/Financial Economics
  • Previous work experience of 2+ years in an international corporate treasury environment, banking, or treasury consultancy with solid financial analysis and modeling experience is preferred
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills
  • Computer skills and experience in work of applicable computer systems, such as Oracle, HFM and FIS Integrity
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English both spoken and written
  • Perform well under pressure and be able to manage a number of key tasks simultaneously
  • High degree of accuracy, good time-management and priority setting skills are important
  • Energetic, proactive and enthusiastic work approach combined with strong self management to meet deadlines and to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Strong cultural empathy and team-player, relationship-building attitude to operate in complex multinational organization
