Job Description

As Finance Analyst Operations & Supply Chain you will play a pivotal role in providing analytical and accounting support to financial processes and drive value to the business and manage risks, enabling us to maintain our position as a world leading firm. Finance Analyst partners with the Operations & Supply Chain teams to ensure objectives are met. The financial analyst supports the strategic, annual operating plan and forecast processes.

This is a role for a high potential with lot of exposure; in this role you will also be responsible for:

· Provide accurate and timely information for month, quarter and year end close.

· Assist in periodic reporting and analysis of plant performance metrics.

· Support and validate Operations in preparing/submitting investment proposals.

· Responsible for divisional SC&OPS Europe spend and Leiden HQ entity controlling.

· Providing financial and analytical support to cross functional teams to support tactical and strategic business decisions.

· Support development and implementation of standard reports in the European Database Warehouse (EDW), Expense Cube in Cognos.

· Ensure consistency and reliability of EDW reports across LGM.

· Participate in the initiatives related to: internal controls, SOX support, balance sheet reviews, internal audit, safety culture, ethics and values, OGSM, culture change.

Qualifications

A Minimum of 3 years of experience in a medium to large size manufacturing company preferably from the Fortune 500. Experience in a dynamic, multinational finance environment with proven ability to work with professionals of different cultural background, professions and levels.

Essential:

· Excellent math and analytical skills

· Ability to articulate complex concepts in a straightforward manner

· Proactive and independent self-starter able to drive projects to completion, on time.

· Being able to build bridges and create support for improvements

· Ability to cope with high pressure assignments and used to meeting strict deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy.

· Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills

· Excellent knowledge of MS Office Excel, PowerPoint


Preferred:

· Experience in a manufacturing environment

· Lean/Six Sigma experience

· Knowledge of US GAAP, Accounting Principles and SOX guidelines

· Strong organizational and operational skills, able to plan effectively and solving problems

· Experience and knowledge of financial systems is an advantage (Hyperion, Oracle, Cognos)

·  Fluency in French or German

Education:

· Master degree in Business Economics / (CPA/CMA a plus)
