Job Description

The candidate for this role will work with our product management, product development and commercial teams to proactively execute technical product marketing activities for our fast-growing RFID product lines. The selected candidate for the role will:

  • Develop technical product marketing content for the launch of RFID Inlays, Media, and Sustainability solutions. The ideal candidate would have strong writing skills and the ability to bring our product portfolio (inlays, media and solutions) to life from inception and development to production and release. 
  • Manage product marketing calendar reflecting release dates for new products and timing for important product marketing initiatives requiring support from the Marcomms team
  • Create product marketing briefs identifying product value proposition, key markets, product positioning, and other key marketing information to support the product launch and ongoing product marketing activities.
  • Create technical datasheets (pulling together all needed information to create an effective and user friendly datasheet with performance details, product details, performance data text, etc......)
  • Create product slides, product sell sheets, quarterly newsletter and internal training decks with clear explanations of the product and/or solution to share with internal teams, commercial teams and customers 
  • Work hand-in-hand with RFID PLM team to develop a full understanding of products, performance, and applications
  • Work in close collaboration with Marketing Communications team to ensure consistent branding, positioning, nomenclature across AD Smartrac
  • Work with the Marketing Communications team to provide input and content for digital marketing and PR opportunities surrounding product launches 
  • Manage the development and roll out of product samples for the commercial team
  • Assist in training the commercial teams on new products and solutions
  • Assist in training key partners and customers on new products and solutions

Qualifications

  • At least 2-5 years of work experience in technical product marketing of a B-to-B technical product or solution
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with supporting marketing background 
  • Demonstrated success in product marketing of a B to B technical product or solution, including roll out of cross-regional products, preferred
  • Sound understanding of the process and actions needed for a product launch also in collaboration with other internal teams, such as Product Strategy, Sales and Marketing Communications
  • Excellent writing skills and strong experience creating slides for commercial and internal training
  • Excellent organizational and people skills, with an ability to openly convey information to team members in a timely, concise manner
  • Ability to solve problems through effective communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent oral, and written communication and presentation skills
  • Command of qualitative market research skills and industry knowledge and use of related tools and databases a plus
  • Experience in the RFID industry and technical solutions a plus
  • Travel as needed (approx 10%): both domestic and international
  • Assertive, persistent and flexible to work in a matrixed, fast-paced organization
  • Self-discipline and urgency (sense of time pressure and motivation to complete activities)
  • Risk taking (willing to try new things and explore new domains)
