Job Description

We have an immediate need for an Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team. You will mainly work with and support a business unit, but will also support activities in other business units as needed. You will be responsible for booking JE’s, completing reconciliations, and Corporate schedules as well as aligning with SOX requirements by providing required information.

Primary Responsibilities

Position will perform general accounting duties including, but not limited to, the following:

Month Close: prepare various journal entries, review month-end balance sheet, review cut-off procedures, analyze operating expenses, clear and suspense accounts, run and reconcile Hyperion reports, prepare Quarterly Corporate schedules

Perform accurate and timely balance sheet account reconciliations

Standardize General Accounting processes, identify best practices, and implement process improvements

Complete cost rolls

Assist in the coordination and testing of SOX controls

Monitor accounts handled by outsourced partner

Work with divisions and corporate on various projects

Prepare tax reports and year-end schedules

Culture Alignment: drive evolution of Accountability, Collaboration, and Trust across the organization and proactively link responsibilities to key OGSM strategies. Strong demonstration of business ethics and integrity compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Accounting Degree preferred.

4-5 years accounting experience preferred; experience in a manufacturing company a plus.

Oracle Experience strongly preferred

Knowledge of US GAAP

Advanced proficiency in Excel, specifically on the job experience with Macros, Pivot Tables and V-Lookup preferred.

Oracle and/or Hyperion experience a plus

Ability to work well in a team environment
