Job Description

The HR Coordinator challenge in a few words:

Averna is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to support all of our North American teams located in Montreal, USA and Mexico. The Human Resources Coordinator will be part of a dynamic global HR team and will report to the Director, Culture and Talent located in Montreal.

Your main challenge in this role will be to improve and deliver tools to support the entire employee lifecycle through programs and projects focused on the growth and development of each employee. You will also be the employees’ primary point of contact for any questions or requests they may have.

Your contribution in this role:

  • Participating in the recruitment process for North America;
  • Ensuring “Quality Management System” compliance of employee files and HRIS BambooHR;
  • Responsible of all new employee integration in North America by completing the onboarding process with them;
  • Elaborating and sharing the pre-payroll report to Finance (Mexico only);
  • Participating in initiatives at any level of the employee lifecycle (from recruitment experience to employee departure);
  • Answering and/or canalizing employee inquiries – Is the main contact for the employees;
  • Managing the HR inbox and supporting for internal communications (translation, review, etc.);
  • Supporting the HRBPs with international mobility files;
  • Work in the office a minimum of 3 days per week;
  • Managing administrative tasks as needed;

Qualifications

The ideal candidate in a few words:

  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related program.
  • Experienced: 1 to 3 years of experience in human resources.
  • Proficiency:
    • Experience in administrative work;
    • Experience in recruitment and agency management.
  • Softskills:
    • Strong attention to detail;
    • Compliance;
    • Proactiveness;
    • Autonomous;
    • Sense of initiative;
    • Strong ownership of responsibilities can be managed by objectives alone, but skilled at escalating issues when necessary.
  • Multilingual: Fluent in French and English (written & spoken). Spanish is a great asset.
