Technical Administrator

Job Description

Technical Administrator required to join an Engineering Team, based at East Midlands Gateway. Salary Circa £22 - £25K dependent on experience, working Monday to Friday.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a well-established engineering company, you will be supporting the Site Engineering Team with all technical administrative tasks.

The Role

  • Organisation of the workshop, stores, and COSHH stock levels and storage areas. Responsibility for spare parts and consumable ordering, receipt of deliveries, inventory management and stock taking tasks.
  • Liaising with Human resources regarding employment/pay queries.
  • Maintain site training matrix and records.
  • This is a customer facing role, so you will be required to keep customer up to date at all times.
  • Spreadsheet and Report creation.
  • Stock level & Critical spares control.
  • Notice Board Maintenance.
  • Hygiene - Workshop / Stores.
  • Ordering and Stock control of tooling.
  • COSHH- Stock management and Risk Assessments.
  • Folder control management.
  • PPE & Clothing orders & control.
  • Consumables & Stationary orders.
  • Tool Calibration organisation.

The Person

  • Previous experience working in an engineering environment.
  • Experience of MS Office and confident is the use of office packages and databases
  • Previous experience of working in administration.
  • Previous experience in stock control methods.
  • Working in a customer environment.
  • Fluent (written and oral) in English Language
  • GCSE Level C or above in English and Maths.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Deals effectively with people from all levels.
