Role: Technology Architect – MDM Architect (IBM or Informatica)

Qualifications

Basic

•Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 7 years of experience with Information Technology.
• Engage with business and IT stakeholders to understand master data requirements and current constraints
• Analyse As-Is system environment, identify pain points, issues & capabilities
• Evaluate MDM products and recommend fitment
• Lead definition of the master data solution along with details of all technology components
• Interfacing with the consultants during requirements phase to provide technical inputs to the solution.
• Working on the data model for the program.
• Gather customer requirements and create the functional use case specification (Functional sections).
• Participate in the review and sign-off sessions (update based on feedback from reviews).
• Coordinating design and development work with offshore.
• Support ST, IT and warranty and implementation activities.

Preferred

Assess Master data needs and current environment to define a future state roadmap and architecture for master data management that addresses the future state capabilities desired by the organization. Define various technology components of the master data ecosystem mapped to business processes. Conduct evaluation of tools across various parameters to recommend the best fit technology. Define the conceptual model for master data – customer, product, etc. Help define implementation plan for master data management and lead a team of designers and developers to implement the master data solution.

• Experience in IBM or Informatica MDM
• Minimum 7 years of experience with 5+ years of experience in full lifecycle MDM implementations
• Over 5 years of hands-on knowledge working with MDM products.
• Experience in leading and defining architecture and technology components for MDM implementations
• Review As-is environment for customer master data processes.
• Help define and review to-be processes and governance model.
• Identify data quality gaps based on SME discussions
• Conduct and support workshops for next level of requirements
• Support and deliver Requirement analysis, capabilities assessment & Demo as required
• Strategize the roadmap and capabilities assessment fit
• Provides the design approach and parameters for systems in the MDM eco-system – search, data quality tool, portal, workflow, etc.
• Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel

The job entails an extensive amount of travel. The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
