Job Description
Your Team
We are looking for a Mid-Level Avaloq Technical Business Analyst to join our Banking Platform / Product Maintenance organization.
In this role, you will act as the bridge between business requirements and technical implementation within the Avaloq Core Banking Platform. You will work closely with clients, Product Owners, Software Engineers, Application Maintenance teams and other technology stakeholders to analyse requirements, investigate production issues, assess impacts and translate business needs into sustainable technical solutions.
The ideal candidate combines a good understanding of banking processes with hands-on Avaloq/Oracle technical knowledge and strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities within cloud platforms
Your key tasks
- Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into clear functional and technical specifications.
- Develop a strong understanding of the Avaloq Core Banking Platform, Data Warehouse, Community APIs, RESTful APIs, interfaces, integration components and relevant banking processes.
- Perform impact analysis, troubleshooting and root cause analysis for incidents, problems and change requests using Avaloq tools, logs, configuration, Oracle SQL/PLSQL and application data.
- Support the design, implementation and enhancement of APIs, interfaces, data flows, Data Warehouse solutions and other Platform & Integration components.
- Work closely with Software Engineers, Product Owners, Platform Engineering, Integration, Application Maintenance and Release Management teams throughout the SDLC.
- Prepare functional and technical documentation, test scenarios and support functional, integration and regression testing.
- Support complex production issues, releases and post-production validation, ensuring solutions meet business, technical and Avaloq standards.
- Drive continuous improvement by reducing recurring issues, improving integration and operational efficiency, and maintaining appropriate documentation, traceability and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Engineering, Banking/Finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in technical business analysis, software development or application maintenance within financial services.
- Hands-on experience with the Avaloq Core Banking Platform and good knowledge of relevant banking domains.
- Good working knowledge of Oracle SQL / PL/SQL for data analysis, troubleshooting and root cause investigation.
- Experience analysing business requirements, incidents, problems, defects and change requests, and translating them into functional and technical specifications.
- Good understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum and ITIL processes.
- Practical experience with tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Gradle, Artifactory
- Working knowledge of Java, APIs, interfaces and system integrations.
- Good understanding of audit, security, risk, compliance, change control and release governance within regulated banking environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across business and technical teams.

- ACCP Certification
- Experienced in any other Core Banking Technologies
- Cloud technologies such as OCI, AWS
- Unix Shell Scripting
