Job Description

You will be part of the Service Operations – Client Lifecycle Management and Client Relationship Management (CLM/CRM) Team, which is responsible for ensuring stable platform operations and the continuous improvement of our Avaloq software and products for our clients.

As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, maintain, and support business-critical applications and services within the CLM/CRM domain. You will be responsible for enhancing existing functionalities, investigating and resolving production issues, and ensuring the reliability, performance, and maintainability of the solutions delivered to our clients.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Service Managers, Product teams, and Project Delivery teams. You will take over, maintain, and enhance solutions delivered to production, investigate and resolve technical issues, and contribute to the continuous improvement of applications and services used by our clients.


Your key tasks 

  • Ensure the stable and efficient operation of Client Lifecycle Management and Client Relationship Management (CLM/CRM) solutions and related third-party applications
  • Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents, defects, and complex technical issues. Delivering software changes
  • Manage incidents and service requests end-to-end, including impact analysis, coordination, implementation of fixes, and resolution
  • Maintain and enhance existing applications and services to meet evolving client and business requirements
  • Support the onboarding of new banking services and solutions into service delivery and operational support
  • Support testing activities, including functional validation, defect fixing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Maintain clear technical documentation and actively promote knowledge sharing and best practices within the team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or a similar role in the banking or financial services industry
  • Strong programming, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge and experience in RDBMS, Oracle SQL, and Oracle PL/SQL
  • Experience in software design, development, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with software development best practices, version control systems, and CI/CD concepts
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and organized working approach with a demonstrated passion for continuous learning
  • Full professional fluency in English (written and verbal


It would be a real bonus if you have

  • Experience in application support, incident management, or service operations environments
  • Knowledge of CLM, AML, KYC, onboarding, and related third-party solutions
  • Familiarity with cloud environments and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of Avaloq Core with certification
  • Experience with modern software engineering practices, automation, and monitoring tools
