Job Description

About the role:

As AUTODOC continues to scale rapidly across 27 European countries, embedding sustainable practices across our business is more vital than ever. With evolving European regulatory requirements, including CSRD, ESRS and EU Taxonomy, we are focusing on our environmental impact, refining our data tracking and advancing our ESG framework. To keep pace with our expanding sustainability focus and support our decarbonisation journey, we are expanding our Sustainability team.
To help us with achieving this, we are hiring a Sustainability Specialist (m/f/d) to join our team at our headquarters in Berlin. In this supporting position, you will work closely alongside our Sustainability Manager to manage essential environmental data, support a range of sustainability initiatives and projects and coordinate compliance reporting. You will also serve as a key connector between cross-functional teams, ensuring transparent documentation as well as driving internal awareness across the company by rolling out engaging internal sustainability campaigns. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious professional with 1–2 years of related work experience to take ownership of impactful projects within a fast-moving e-commerce scale-up. You will gain hands-on exposure to cutting-edge EU sustainability compliance, shape internal culture and directly contribute to building a more sustainable, tech-driven future for European mobility.

What you will do:

  • Support the Sustainability Manager with sustainability data collection, validation and calculation for reporting frameworks, GHG accounting and carbon footprint calculations.
  • Assist in the scoping, implementation and tracking of decarbonisation projects and internal sustainability initiatives.
  • Drive internal employee engagement, awareness campaigns and sustainability communication programmes.
  • Identify and propose opportunities for sustainable innovation, process improvement and data system enhancements.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders and departments to support assigned sustainability tasks.
  • Monitor evolving ESG regulations (CSRD, ESRS, EU Taxonomy, GHG Protocol) and maintain an up-to-date compliance tracker.
  • Maintain and update internal sustainability platforms and knowledge hubs, including Jira, Confluence and the AUTODOC sustainability web spaces.

Qualifications

What you bring to the role:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Law, Environmental Science, Sustainability or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of professional experience in a Sustainability Specialist or similar role.
  • Experience in GHG accounting, including collecting, calculating and analysing Scope 1-3 emissions and Product Carbon Footprints (per ESRS and GHG Protocol standards).
  • Solid understanding of European sustainability regulations, reporting frameworks, double materiality assessments and ESG compliance concepts.
  • Experience in supporting internal engagement programmes, awareness campaigns and cross-functional project tracking.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with good working knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail and an ability to work independently in a structured environment.
  • Fluency in English (German language skills are a plus).

Additional Information

What we offer:

  • Competitive salaries based on your professional experience.
  • Fast growing international company with stable employment.
  • Annual vacation of 30 days and 1 additional day off on your birthday.
  • Mental Wellbeing Program – providing you and your immediate family members with free and confidential mental and physical health support services for a wide range of personal and work-related issues.
  • AUTODOC Corporate Discount to order parts for their own use at special discounted rates.
  • Retail discounts of up to 75% on travel, technology, fashion and much more.
  • Opportunities for advancement, further trainings (over 650 courses on soft and hard skills on our e-learning platform) and coaching.
  • Free English and German language classes.
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid work.
  • Company pension scheme (Betriebliche Altersvorsorge mit Allianz).

We celebrate diversity and are committed to building teams that represent a variety of backgrounds, perspectives and skills. All employment is decided on the basis of qualifications, merit and business need.
