Aspect’s Support Coordinators understand the NDIS and how to assist Autistic people and their families understand and manage their plan and budget. Our friendly and knowledgeable team work independently to connect the right service providers to support those on the autism spectrum meet their goals.

Qualifications

What you bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences, health or other relevant professional field or a diploma in Disability Services studies
  • Two years of experience working with people with a disability
  • Demonstrated experience in interpreting and implementing NDIS plans
  • Experience working with people living with a disability who may require additional support with their communication or cultural needs
  • An understanding of the NDIA, the Disability Services Act and standards and Child Protection Legislation
  • Thorough understanding of the issues facing people on the autism spectrum within the Australian context
  • Well developed problem solving skills and ability to respond in crisis situations
  • Networking skills to grow knowledge of the local service environment including funded and non-funded services
  • Proficient computer and administration skills
  • Driver’s licence valid in Australia
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance for paid employment
  • Current Working with Children Check for paid employment in the state where you will be employed (or willingness to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module, ‘Quality, Safety and You.' If you have not already completed this free module, click here to access it. 
  • You may also be required to provide an international police clearance
