Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for an embedded software developer to build AUTOSAR-based software for next-generation zonal E/E architectures. You will work on Central Vehicle Controllers and Zone Control Units that connect and control vehicle functions over CAN, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet. Your work will span the software stack, from MCU drivers and basic software up to application components.
AUTOSAR Software Development & Integration
- Design, implement, and integrate software components on Classic AUTOSAR (BSW, RTE, OS, MCAL, and application SWCs)
- Configure and integrate BSW modules, including the communication stack (Com, PduR, CanIf/LinIf/EthIf, TcpIp), diagnostics (Dcm, Dem), memory, and mode management
- Develop and maintain complex device drivers (CDD) and hardware abstraction for zone-specific I/O, actuators, and power distribution (e.g., smart high-side switches, eFuses)
Analysis, Validation & Troubleshooting
- Analyze system and customer requirements, along with communication matrices (DBC, LDF, ARXML), and turn them into software design and implementation
- Define and run software tests at unit, integration, and network level, including HIL/bench testing
- Debug and fix issues across software, hardware, and network layers using tools such as debuggers/tracers and bus analyzers
- Work with System, Hardware, Network, and Vehicle Integration teams on software integration and issue resolution
- Handle change requests and keep requirements, design, implementation, and tests aligned and traceable
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in embedded automotive software development
- Strong C programming and debugging skills
- Practical experience with AUTOSAR (preferably Classic AUTOSAR), including BSW configuration and integration
- Understanding of in-vehicle networks: CAN/CAN FD, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet
- Understanding of embedded software architecture, real-time OS concepts, and MCU-level software (interrupts, memory, peripherals)
- Experience with Git, Jira, and CI environments
- Fluent in both oral and written English
- Customer orientation and the ability to work with cross-functional and global teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CVC, ZCU, Central Gateway, Body Controller, or other domain/zone controller projects
- Experience developing and integrating communication software for CAN/CAN FD, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet (100BASE-T1, 1000BASE-T1, 10BASE-T1S)
- Experience implementing gateway functions, such as signal, PDU, and frame routing between network domains (e.g., CAN–CAN FD, CAN–Ethernet)
- Experience integrating Ethernet switch, PHY, and transceiver drivers, including VLAN, QoS, and port configuration
- Knowledge of Ethernet-based protocols and services such as SOME/IP, DoIP, and time synchronization (gPTP/TSN, StbM)
- Knowledge of UDS (ISO 14229) or XCP
- Experience with AUTOSAR toolchains (e.g., Mobilgene, EB tresos) and network tools (e.g., CANoe/CANalyzer, Wireshark)
- Experience with automotive MCUs/SoCs such as NXP S32K/S32G, Infineon AURIX, or Renesas RH850
- Knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and/or Automotive Cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434), e.g., SecOC, MACsec
- Experience with Agile development and ASPICE-compliant processes
