Job Description
Project Definition & Planning
• Define project indicators (financial & timeline)
• Support line management in selecting core project team members
• Establish an appropriate project organization (meeting structure, information/ knowledge exchange, documentation, archiving)
• Develop an initial project plan aligned with the business unit's current process
• Ensure alignment with the business unit's workflow
Project Execution & Control
• Track project progress and define corrective actions in case of deviations from the project plan
• Control project budget and resource utilization for all approved projects
• Report project status in line with current tools and processes
• Implement and execute professional change management
• Conduct risk assessment, control and drive the implementation of risk mitigation measures
• Escalate projects as required
Project Presentation to Customers & Suppliers
• Present projects in customer meetings
• Present project benefits in supplier meetings and internal meetings
• Negotiate document exchange and requirements with customers and suppliers based on professional, well-managed document exchange
• Protect the confidentiality of project data
Project Team & Stakeholder Management
• Proactively drive the project to meet stakeholder expectations, and inform stakeholders with regular updates in an appropriate manner
• Assign tasks to project team members
• Help build a supportive culture of cooperation and team spirit through project delivery
Ensuring Project Resources & Competencies
• Plan team human resources in line with business development
• Ensure the authorization of team members
• Plan and upgrade team member authorities
Qualifications
Chassis&Safety Organization
• Understand existing processes, rules and decision-making structure
• Understand the methods, tools and contact persons for leading and managing projects
• PM Process
• Understand the product life cycle
Financial Management
• Lead and manage a project within the specified time, budget and quality framework to achieve customer satisfaction, and ensure the company's economic benefits and product profitability throughout the entire product life cycle
Technical Knowledge
• Engineering knowledge in various fields
• Profound knowledge of production technologies and processes
• Profound knowledge of product technologies
• Familiar with the current product portfolio
Planning, Control & Reporting
• Negotiate necessary resources with responsible managers at all levels
• Establish project documentation and set up an effective project organization
• Analyze and monitor project objectives and project delivery status in terms of technology, commerce, quality and schedule
• Quickly identify deviations, determine root causes and resolve them effectively, or report to appropriate decision-makers
• Hold meetings with core project team members, customers and management
• Present projects to the decision-making level
Customer Management
• Communicate project status effectively with customers
• Understand customer background, customer DNA and key customer contacts
Staff Management
• Define and assign tasks and other responsibilities to project team members
Change Management
• Negotiate requested changes with customers
• Evaluate the impact of these changes on requirements in terms of time, cost and technology
Risk Management
• Estimate and assess project risks
• Develop risk mitigation strategies for the project and define & implement relevant measures
International Cooperation
• Manage team members from different countries
