Job Description

The Department of Chemistry invites applications for adjunct faculty positions to teach Introductory General Chemistry lab sections as well as Organic Chemistry Lab sections on the Minneapolis campus in the Fall 2022 semester.

The Introductory General Chemistry labs will meet on either Tuesday or Thursday afternoons, from 1:50-4:50pm. The Organic Chemistry lab with meet Tuesday mornings, from 8:00am-12:00pm. Labs will meet once per week for three hours. Instructors are expected to respond to student inquiries via email and hold regular office hours.

This is a union position which is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with SEIU Local 284.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should be able to teach one or both subject(s), depending on their background and qualifications
  • Successful candidates will have a PhD in chemistry
  • Teaching experience preferred.
