Auburn Homes and Services is a not-for-profit senior services organization with Long-Term Care, Transitional Care, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Hud Subsidized Independent Living Facilities located in Chaska and Waconia Minnesota.  In the spirit of Christ's love, we serve others with integrity and compassion.

Auburn Homes and Services has a fun and unique role awaiting you. We are growing our team and have an Activity Assistant position available at our Waconia campus in our Assisted Living and Memory Care unit. Part-time day shifts available from 9-5. Shifts include Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and every other weekend. This full-time shift is great for individuals that enjoy doing activities with seniors. No experience is necessary as we have a great training program! Benefit elegible! 

This is not a temporary position. Looking for a candidate for year-round/long term role.

We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills who will assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors.

• Perform assigned work routines and daily assignments to meet the psychosocial and activities needs of residents and the Household, including creating diverse opportunities for meaningful pursuits, daily pleasures, recreation, exercise, friendships, social interaction, growth and learning, fun and enjoyment, personal routines, spontaneous activity and Household rituals.

• Assist residents with activities of their choice, group, individual or one on one. 

• Take residents outdoors, or out in the facility community and participate in outings and special events, as well as provide for resident leisure life activities.

• Collaborate with households and campus staff related to large campus events, shared equipment etc.
