Full-Time or Part-Time Homemaker - Auburn Home in Waconia

If so, Auburn Homes and Services has a role awaiting you. We are currently seeking a Homemaker to come and join our Waconia campus team. The Homemaker performs the combined duties of dining services and housekeeping for residents of our Skilled Nursing facility. Current availability includes full-time daytime hours. This position would up to 60 hours bi-weekly and benefit eligible. The shifts are 7am - 3pm, with rotating weekends. There is some flexibility in this role.

We are looking for someone to perform day-to-day activities of the Dietary Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator and/or Dietary Director to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner. Duties include but are not limited to:

1.      The homemaker will assist with serving food in a timely manner, maintaining high quality of standards and service for the residents within the facility.

2.      Make a fresh breakfast for residents.

3.      Assist with residents as the need arises.

4.      Assumes general responsibility for kitchen areas and cleanliness within facility.

5.      Assists with serving resident meals, snacks, and nourishments.

6.      Plans and facilitates activities for elders and the household that involve food preparation or other activities specific to the kitchen.

7.      Performs housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness in designated areas such as resident living spaces, resident rooms, common areas, and other areas as assigned

Qualifications

 

  1. Experience with residential services for the elderly is desirable. 
  2. High school diploma or GED.
  3. Must have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, coworkers, family members, visitors, and the general public.
  4. Must possess the ability to take direction, prioritize duties, and organize work with others.
  5. Demonstrated compatibility with AH&S's mission and operating philosophies.
  6. Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
