The targeted compensation range for this full time year round, exempt position is $70,000-80,000/year. The position offers a competitive compensation package presented by Auberge Collection and is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
Job Description
The Conference Services Manager at Hotel Jerome is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of events and meetings held at the property. This includes managing the planning, organization, and coordination of catering services, conference logistics, and guest experiences. The role ensures a seamless integration between the hotel’s facilities, catering team, and client expectations, providing exceptional service to all guests and event planners
- Act as the main point of contact for event clients, from initial inquiry through to event execution.
- Understand client needs and translate them into event specifications, ensuring that all requirements are met.
- Provide clients with creative suggestions and solutions regarding event layout, catering, and other event needs.
- Coordinate with the Sales and Marketing team to ensure that all sales opportunities are maximized.
- Develop and implement detailed event plans, including menus, staffing, setup, timelines, and all other requirements.
- Work closely with the culinary and kitchen teams to ensure the highest quality food and beverage offerings for events.
- Coordinate room setups, AV equipment, and all other logistical elements to ensure the event runs smoothly.
- Supervise event day logistics, ensuring proper timing, flow, and guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to secure any additional services required for events, such as decor, entertainment, or specialty services.
- Negotiate with vendors and manage contracts to ensure favorable terms and high-quality service.
- Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and ensure that any issues or concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
- Follow up post-event to gather feedback and ensure long-term client relationships.
- Assist in the promotion of the hotel's meeting and event services, including coordinating tours and sales presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in catering and event management, preferably within a hotel or resort setting.
- Strong knowledge of event planning, catering operations, and conference services.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
