Dual-Certified Esthetician and Massage Therapist

Job Description
As a Dual Certified Esthetician and Massage Therapist within our hotel, you will focus on welcoming our guests into our spa facility while providing exceptional spa services that focus on the service standards of an Auberge Spa facility.
- Ensure guest comfort and safety throughout the treatment
- Maintain professional ethics while ensuring personalized service is provided to each guest so they feel their needs are met
- Prepare treatment room to client specifications
- Perform prep work and properly clean and restock room as required
- Maintain a work area with necessary supplies. Ensure the room is immaculate at all times (tables draped, counters and products clean) as well as cleanliness of all other spa areas including locker rooms.
- Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures
- Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention including guest complaints or misconduct
- Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions, and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available
- Follow all protocols and procedures of treatments
- Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa
- Rate of pay is $20 an hour plus commissions and gratuities, which everything included typically results in a range of $130-$140 an hour.
Qualifications
- Certificate of completion from a State certified recognized school of massage indicating 750 hours of training in massage therapy. Massage certified by the California Massage Therapy Council.
- Esthetician license issued by California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.
- Minimum 3 year experience as an esthetician and massage therapist
- Ability to perform all spa treatments as outlined on our Spa Brochure, including facial waxing.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, understanding of the relationship between the structure and function of the human body, understanding of the theory, contraindications and benefits of massage therapy.
- Additional certificates for specialty treatments and modalities preferred and appreciate
- Willingness to learn new skills and be adaptable.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and some holidays, according to department needs.
- Ability to work in an environment infused with a variety of scents, such as aromatherapy candles.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
