Job Description

Join our team as Lead Pool Server and become one of the authors of our story. The Lead Pool Server sets the tone for a successful day, each day.  They are key in shaping the success of each team member and thus the success of the experience provided to our guests.  They are efficient, thoughtful and clear communicators who bridge the gap between guests, team members and hotel operations.    


The Lead Pool Server will assist the Food & Beverage Manager with hiring, developing, and training the Pool staff, upholding the standards of Auberge, and creating a memorable experience for each one of the guests.  This role will assist in ensuring both guest and team member satisfaction that is achieved by meeting and exceeding the operating budget.

This is a seasonal role that will begin as soon as possible & end on or around October 31st. 

Core Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining guest safety in all pool areas, ensuring professional and consistent adherence to all pool safety standards

  • Supports Food & Beverage Manager with Pool operations daily 

  • Assists in maintaining proper positioning, visibility and condition of all pool safety and rescue equipment

  • Coordinates welcoming of all guests upon arrival at pool area and the immediate provision of service (towels, water, menu options) 

  • Supervises the provision of complementary surprise/delights hourly for guests. Ex: chilled towels, misting service, popsicles, frozen fruit, etc. 

  • Supervises set-up and tear down required for all poolside functions

  • Supervises the cleaning, maintenance and placement of pool furniture

  • Supervises the monitoring of guests leaving the pool area and the picking up of all dirty towels and garbage and the repositioning of chairs

  • Turns in lost and found items throughout shift according to hotel procedures

  • Monitors and maintains appropriate inventory of pool towels throughout the shift, obtaining clean towels from the laundry and returning dirty towels.

  • Ensures all Team Members are getting their breaks in a timely manner. 

  • Conducts daily walk through of Pool deck, juice bar and storage closets to ensure standards are in place and being met

  • Trainings, spot checks, coaches all new Team Members to optimum performance

  • Coordinate service area maintenance when necessary.

  • Attends all departmental meetings as scheduled

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Rate of pay - $25 per hour + tips

Qualifications

  • Experience in a guest service capacity

  • Excellent oral/written communication skills

  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. and pull/push 100 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation. 

  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
