The duties of the Golf Shop Closer focus mainly on the responsibilities of closing the Golf Operations, including overseeing the completion of tasks assigned to the Outside Golf Attendant(s).  Other duties include, but are not limited to:

collecting retail and fee sales; greeting customers; understanding and using the computer reservation system; making tee time reservations; working closely with the outside golf staff to ensure tasks are being completed; understanding and applying Primland policies with guests; understanding and applying Golf Operations policies and procedures; making sure The Golf Shop is clean and orderly; and other duties and tasks as requested.

1. PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Secondary school level reading, writing and computation skills.

Good communication skills in English.

Well-groomed and enthusiastic.

Able to work under stress calmly and professionally in a busy environment.

   Able to stand, walk and run for a full shift (8 -14 hours).

1. TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES, include but not limited to: 

Understand and execute closing procedures

- Closing time - If no one is playing and no one in the shop, close the shop at exactly the time listed for that month.  Example June = 7pm.  If there are guests still on the course we ask that you use sound judgment.  Example, it's 7pm in June and there are three groups of day guests on 18,17,16 we expect the closer to stay.  If it is 7pm in June and the only group on the course is a foursome on hole 11 that is scheduled to play again the next day then close the shop at 7pm.

- No open checks

- Print report (Make sure there is no net for the day)  Place one in the packet for the end of the day, the other hole punched and in the binder.

- Money counted (initial and date, AM or PM) and in the bag, then in the safe (slot 7).

- Print tee sheets for the next day

- Replenish merchandise, refold, tuck in tags, and make sure the Primland leaf logo is facing correct way on the hanger

- Log notes up to date and sent

- Bag tags made for the next day

- Water restocked in the cooler

- Make sure there is not any merchandise left in the shoe shine room

- Trash emptied from the golf shop and the one near the door

Booking tee times through phone calls, e-mailed requests, and in-person requests

- Make sure we are coordinating and following up with emails to the pri.golfshop email

Email confirmations to new and confirmed guests

Understand and execute the procedures for Bikes (both Mountain and Road)

Understand and execute the procedures for Disc Golf

Understand and apply Primland policies and procedures with Guests

Understand and apply Golf Operations procedures and policies, inside and outside.

Notify Supervisor(s) of low supplies and inventory

Any special projects assigned by the Director of Golf or Head Golf Professional
