Job Description

The base salary range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00 hourly.

As part of the Auberge family, you will be responsible for supporting the accounting team.  We are looking for a self-starter with strong and clear communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, attention to detail, accuracy, kindness, and flexibility.  This person will thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.

  • Reconciles balance sheet and ensures account balances are supported by appropriate documentation in accordance with SOPs.
  • Generates and provide accurate and timely results in the form of the reports, presentation, ect., ensuring reporting deadlines are met. 
  • Import and review accounts payable daily data feed from BirchStreet Purchasing System into Accounts Payable module in Great Plains.
  • Responds to queries related to Accounts Payable from other departments.
  • Receives and resolve accounts payable calls from vendors as needed.
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts.
  • Audit cash and credit card activity for all outlets and ensure the accurate and complete deposit or transmittal to the bank or processing company daily.
  • Assist Director and Assistant Director of Finance with the month-end process.
  • Assist senior accounting personnel with any tasks conducted within the accounting department
  • Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by Dir of Finance and/or Assistant Dir of Finance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in accounting/business or three (3) years related work experience 

  • Basic knowledge and understanding accounting principle 

  • Basic knowledge and understanding Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI)

  • Must have strong knowledge of Hotel accounting system for General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Checkbook and Fixed Assets modules

  • Must have strong knowledge of PMS various POS currently implemented by the Hotel Management 

  • Must have basic math skills and ability to analyze figures 

  • Must be self-starter, self-motivated, pay attention to detail, and results oriented.

  • Must be outgoing and enthusiastic with a positive attitude.

  • Must be able to multitask, establish priorities and organize efficiently 

  • Ability to make decisions that are in the guests and department’s best interests.

  • Familiar with Google Suite platform

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office application 

  • Solid communication skills, with proficiency in speaking and writing.

  • Strong people skills – a polite and professional demeanor when working with other companies, as well as consumers and coworkers

  • Able to maintain confidentiality at all times regarding sensitive information.

  • Must be able to work a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, during regular business hours.
