Job Description

The base salary range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00 hourly.

Join our team as Assistant Golf Professional and become one of the authors of our story.  As part of the Auberge family, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day Golf Pro Shop operations.  He or she will actively supervise the team, coordinate the teaching programs, and organize group outings and events for the facility.  The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, service driven, dynamic individual with robust computer and communication skills (verbal and written).  

  • Operate a point of sale computer and accurately collect and exchange currency, checks and other forms of payment for products purchased and services rendered.  Approx. 50% of work time will be spent in the golf shop on shift.
  • Is the first point of contact for the Golf Shop and Guest Service Attendant teams and responds to the needs of the team and works in collaboration with the 1st Golf Professional to provide the best possible resolutions.
  • Assists Assistant General Manager and 1st Golf Professional in conduct and disciplinary conversations. Provides guidance and insight to team members.
  • Manages and Maintains the Mauna Lani homeowners program making sure information is correct and cards are issued to the Home Owners in a timely manner.
  • Maintains the Mauna Lani GHIN account.
  • Assist 1st Golf Professional and Sales Director with tournament preparation including scorecards, cart signs as well as Individual staff assignments based on the tournament needs.
  • Maintains tee sheets so as to avoid any conflicts between regular play and tournaments, outings, or special events.
  • Ensures that day-to-day golf operations including but not limited to tee times, starting, tournament preparation, rules officiating, merchandising, inventory control, sales, POS operations and course control are completed by the appropriate personnel, and when necessary assists in the completion of said duties.

Qualifications

  • Able to work variable days, hours, and shifts.
  • Able to make rational decisions while remaining professional in stressful situations
  • Maintains an understanding of the rules of golf.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in direct sunlight for extended periods and work under little or no direct supervision.
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred.
  • Blue card certification preferred.
