Job Description

Join our team as Host/Hostess and become one of the authors of our story. As part of the Auberge family, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional hospitality to all of our guests every day. We strive to provide excellence to our staff as well ensuring that each day is an opportunity to educate, inspire curiosity, and create an environment of genuine hospitality at every turn.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Welcome guests with warm hospitality at all times.

  • Maintain and uphold all brand and Mayflower standards to the highest levels of excellence.

  • Ensure workspaces are clean, tidy and organized. 

  • Correct music/lighting levels for guests, accurate and presentable menus are delivered to tables. 

  • Build up and develop strong relationships with regular guests, hotel guests, and your peers.

  • Ensure phone etiquette is in place at all times and guest messages are answered promptly.

  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times.

  • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction and involving management as needed.

  • Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.

  • Liaise with all departments to ensure clear and concise communication on all reports, functions and guest notes for the day.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours and be able to lift up, push, and pull at least 50 pounds

  • Hospitality Certificate or Degree preferred

  • A minimum of 2 years of Restaurant experience

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Ability to multi-task and delegate effectively

  • Appearance must be clean and professional

  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs

  • Experience within the luxury/upscale segment of the hospitality industry

  • Time management and effective communication skills via digital and personal channels
