Job Description
The Business & Entertainment Travel Sales Manager is responsible for driving our business and entertainment sales strategy and revenue growth by building and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients, travel managers and travel agencies that support the entertainment segment. This role will focus on knowledge of market trends to target and secure preferred corporate accounts, entertainment bookings and develop strategies to increase market share and maximize revenue. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a proven track record in sales, and a passion for delivering outstanding client service. As part of the pre-opening team, the Business & Entertainment Sales Manager will play a critical role in building awareness and securing key accounts.
- Fully develop and manage the Business and Entertainment Travel market segments by identifying, soliciting and securing new business opportunities while cultivating and expanding relationships with existing key local and global accounts.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans that drive incremental room nights, increase revenue and achieve or exceed annual production goals.
- Maintain a strong focus on account retention, market share growth and client partnerships through proactive account management and exceptional customer service.
- Develop relationships in the community to strengthen and expand hotel & business & entertainment sales opportunities.
- Partners with group/catering counterparts to effectively manage the overall business opportunity.
- Responsible for maintaining relationships with Auberge Collection Global Sales Team and responding to all incoming Global team requests.
- Business Travel accounts: responsible for total account management, which includes ensuring local agreements are in place, identifying and prospecting for new accounts, and ongoing account servicing.
- Entertainment Travel: responsible for total account management, which includes establishing and maintaining relationships with entertainment industry key contacts and proactively identifying opportunities to strengthen account relationships.
- Participate in weekly marketing and rooms merchandising meetings, monthly sales meetings, Cats Meow daily and monthly sales meetings as assigned by the Director of Sales and Director of Leisure.
- Responsible for maintaining all Business & Entertainment Travel reporting on a monthly basis.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in sales, account management, hospitality, travel, events, luxury retail, business development, or another relationship-focused role is strongly preferred.
- Hotel sales or Business & Entertainment Travel experience is a plus but not required for the right candidate.
- A naturally engaging personality with the confidence to meet new people, develop relationships and represent the hotel in the community.
- Self-motivated, competitive, and comfortable proactively pursuing new business opportunities.
- Strong communication skills with a genuine commitment to exceptional client service.
- Organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable learning sales strategies, analyzing account performance, and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Experience with Salesforce is preferred but not required.
- College degree preferred, but equivalent professional experience is welcomed.
- Must be willing to travel occasionally to represent the hotel at trade shows, conventions, and client events.
