Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance
team. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial
records, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with
accounting principles and hotel policies.
 General Ledger Maintenance:
o Assist with maintaining and reconciling the general ledger, ensuring
accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
o Record necessary journal entries to reflect financial transactions
accurately.
o Assist with Monthly & Quarterly inventory counts
 Accounts Reconciliation:
o Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts
receivable on a regular basis.
o Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
 Expense Management:
o Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance
with company policies.
o Work collaboratively with departments to monitor and control
expenses.
 Audit Support:
o Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide necessary
documentation for internal and external audits.
o Support the audit process by responding to auditor inquiries and
ensuring compliance.
o Assist in maintaining compliance with USALI and all company policies
 Budgeting and Forecasting:
o Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting process by providing accurate
and timely financial information.
o Collaborate with department heads to understand and analyze budget
variances

Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, or 2 years of

relevant experience, preferably within the hotel industry.

  •  Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Workday is a plus.
  •  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  •  Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  •  Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
