We are experts that enjoy what we do!  We are looking for a Sr. Configuration Database Management (CMDB) Expert for one of our clients in Rockville, MD for a government agency.  This is a new position for an existing long-term contract..   Must be a US Citizen with the ability to successfully complete a full background investigation. W-2 and 1099 relationships will be offered. 

This dynamic team environment works with other experts on a daily basis.  Acts as one of the highest-level technical experts, addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms and acting as a thought leader on best practices and cutting edge solutions for their requirements. 

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrated thorough understanding and 5+ years experience with BMC CMDB
• Demonstrated and through understanding of ITIL Good practices 
• Understanding of Service Blueprints, Service Definitions and Service Modeling in the Atrium CMDB
• Understanding of the Common Data Model and experience in extending the CMDB data model
• Understanding of Best Practices for Product Catalogs
• Demonstrated through understanding and experience with BMC Remedy ITSM 9.1
• Experience in implementation, installation, integration, configuration and maintenance of Development, Test and Production environment
• Ability to apply product fixes, hot fixes, patches and configuration changes to support the business processes. Strong requirements gathering and presentation skills. 
• Experience in both hardware and software management, license management and contract management. 

• Previous experience in performing tool administration and process configurations – Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and Release Management
• Prior experience with Remedy 9.1, ITSM modules.
• Experience in installation, configuration and maintenance of Development, Test and Production
• Ability to apply product fixes, hot fixes, patches and configuration changes to support the business processes.
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• US Citizenship
• Ability to successfully pass a federal background check and maintain eligibility for continued access authorizations granted by such a successful background check
• Bachelor’s Degree
• ITIL V3 or 2011 Foundations Certification.  Higher level ITIL certifications are a plus.
