We are experts that enjoy what we do!  We are looking for an Pega Administrator for one of our clients in Greenbelt, MD.  This is a new position for an existing contract.   

Job Description

Role Description: Provide day-to-day support for one or more products or applications that are deployed to the production environment. Ensure the availability of an application or product for end users.       

Responsibilities: The Pega Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting and administering a Pega 7.2.x deployment in a FedRAMP cloud environment in support of the 2020 Decennial Census. This individual works closely with the Pega Systems Architect on the ECaSE application, Technical Integrator infrastructure, DevOps, and cloud support to insure the proper environment is defined and deployed to support and scale for 2018 end-to-end test and rollout of the 2020 Decennial application.
• Along with the Pega Systems Architects, support the ECaSE Pega 7 Architecture.
• Install Pega 7 components on the ECaSE platform.
• Configure the Organizational Assets.
• Export and Import Rules and Cases.
• Execute ECaSE Application Deployment and perform application migrations.
• Perform performance analysis and tuning.
• Manage security authentication and authorization.
• Configure Pega 7 Logging.
• Work with Systems Architects to review Pega architectural designs and decisions regarding ECaSE solution and impacts on cloud deployment.
• Support the cloud architecture based on demand forecasts that will support the 2020 Decennial Census
• Provide QA and UAT Support as it relates to ECaSE support.
• Provide resolution on technical issues related to the Pega 7 ECaSE application.
• Maintain knowledge and understanding of current and emerging technologies, equipment and systems. Keeps current on laws, mandates, issues, practices and procedures.
• Review and provides input to policies and standard operating procedures; monitors and evaluates program effectiveness and effects changes required for continuous improvement of IT systems.
• Contribute to the formulation and maintenance of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan for the Pega solution.
• Assists in customer-focused interaction to ensure objectives are realized and expectations are properly managed. Perform activities and programs with other departments to improve service performance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Citizenship / Clearance Requirements: Must be US Citizen and able to obtain clearance

Minimum Required Skills/Experience: Senior Information Technology (IT) Engineer extensive experience in federal and state government enterprise-level solutions who performs as a recognized authority in his/her field and exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness; applies and/or develops highly advanced principles, theories and concepts in managing large scale contracts; acts independently to resolve major problems; manages, leads and advises staff members in order to meet established objectives; responsible to accomplish long range objectives; self–supervised; decisions have a prolonged positive effect on organization’s reputation and business posture; consultant to senior management and prime spokesperson to customer on company capabilities and future efforts.

Preferred Skills: The individual holds Pega certifications as either a System Architect or Senior System Architect and has demonstrable expertise in deploying Pega and/or other BPMS products in a cloud environment.  FedRAMP cloud environment strongly preferred.

Role Location:  Greenbelt, MD

Education: Must possess either a Master’s Degree + 12 years’ IT experience / a Bachelor’s Degree + 14 years’ IT experience / or an Associate’s Degree + 16 years’ IT experience / or a High School Diploma/GED + 18 years' IT experience
