Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Help in contractual discussions with insurance clients(s) and support detailed analysis of Impacts.
• Facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders and be able to write User Stories.
• Understand the customer requirements and arrange discussion with third parties and capture those requirements.
• Act in an advisory position to assist business design delivery.
• Be the first point of escalation for business design delivery.
• Identify inefficiency and recommend new ways of working.
• Estimate, plan and define business analysis activities.
• Ensure business design services adhere to quality standards.
• Define the business problem and primary objectives of the new projects.
• Proven process design and improvement capability – preferably within an Agile context
• Demonstrable ability to handle complex stakeholder relationships, unblock issues and constructively challenge others.
• Perform a coordination role as well as specific items of business design work.
• Perform various Business Design tasks using strong communication and display of information.
Experience & Skills
• Previous experience in Protection and Insurance industry is mandatory.
• Experience of working in a Business Design role or similar (Senior Business Analyst)
• Demonstratable skills and experience of leading cross-functional teams to a set of business outcomes
• Experience in documenting current state journeys (modelling)
• Experience in Agile, User Stories and Process mapping
• Experience & understanding of Data Mapping, Lineage and Controls
• Good Understanding of Traceability
• Ability to propose approach to design or analysis work, plan and complete it with minimum supervision.
• Experience of working on Target Operating Models, especially when multiple suppliers are involved
• Experience of business Requirements definition and business modelling on initiatives.
• Excellent insight, analytical and problem-solving skills, and a deep knowledge of utilizing a variety of approaches, tools, and techniques with the ability to multi-task.
• The ability to understand technical discussions and issues and be able to relay this information back to the relevant stakeholders.
• Confidence in creating communicative, trusted, and collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the business.
• An understanding of business processes and how technology supports business change.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to challenge and influence where required.
• Excellent negotiation skills, with experience in client facing roles, stakeholder management
• A self-starter who is flexible & keen to learn/put in place new ways of working.
• All-rounder who can comfortably switch contexts and apply a range of techniques to solve problems
• Experience working with diverse set of stakeholders at different levels – Business, IT, Third Parties.
