Job Description

We are currently seeking a Technician to join our GMP Microbiology team based at our Auckland laboratory in a permanent role.

The successful applicants will be responsible for ensuring that sample tests are carried out using the correct methods within the agreed time frames. You will have the advantage of learning on the job gaining invaluable experience.  

Your key duties will involve

  • Completing sample testing within the given turn-around-time (TAT) 
  • Strictly adhere to all laboratory and regulatory quality assurance procedures 
  • Ensuring all relevant records are kept up to date at all times 
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy work area 
  • Participate and contribute to working safely 
  • Be actively involved in all the day to day improvement activities 

Flexibility to work additional days or overtime would be ideal as our laboratory operates 7 days a week, and you must be able to work a Tuesday to Saturday roster.

About you: 

To be successful in this role you will haveGraduated with a Bachelor of Science, with a focus on Microbiology or Food Science. 

  • Experience in GMP Testing is preferred 
  • You can hit the ground running, so those with direct experience in Microbiology.
  • Previous work experience in a fast paced and high pressure environment will also be beneficial to your success in getting this role. 
  • Team player that can remain focused while doing repetitive tasks and cope with regularly changing priorities. 
  • Excellent attention to detail coupled with fantastic time management skills will see you do well in the AsureQuality environment.
