Job Description

Sample Receipt & Administration Technician

  • Fast-paced, teamwork, laboratory-based role at Asurequality in Lower Hutt, Wellington
  • Tuesday to Saturday Roster
  • Permanent Full-Time Position 
  • Utilise your passion for science, administration and job scheduling.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated technician to join our Sample Reception team on a permanent basis. This is a pivotal role that keeps our laboratory operations running smoothly and ensures the integrity of our testing processes. If you thrive in dynamic environments where your attention to detail directly impacts quality outcomes, we want to hear from you.

You will be handling the flow of samples and receipt into our system. You will ensure quality standards are upheld, and that the required criteria & documentation for testing is supplied. Great opportunities to develop skills and understand the full workflow of our laboratory. Full training is provided on the job, including quality compliance with ISO 17025 and safety measures to ensure the job is done reliably and safely according to the WorkSafe Act 2015.

The Wellington AsureQuality laboratory is a fast-paced work environment requiring collaboration and teamwork. Our ideal candidates will have great attention to detail, communication skills, strong computer skills are also a plus for this role. 

Qualifications

About You

To be successful in the role you will require:

  • A passion for science and environmental issues
  • An understanding of workflow prioritization & documentation procedures
  • Knowledge of chemistry principles and laboratory techniques preferable but not essential
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced, communicative environment
  • Exemplary attention to detail and both written and verbal communication skills. This is a team environment with interlinked goals. 
  • Strong computer skills & problem-solving ability
  • BSc Preffered but Optional
