Position Summary

The art director takes charge of branding and creative product delivered by Astucemedia. She/He has a unique eye for design, is knowledgeable about the latest trends in live news, election and sport events for television and digital platforms, and acts as a source for an unlimited number of innovative ideas and concepts. She/He acts as a mentor with the Astucemedia Creative team.

Specific Areas of Responsibility

  • Present creative concepts and provide artistic direction including writing creative brief.
  • Provide artistic direction for branding project, augmented reality, virtual set and animation/motion design.
  • Present creative products & concepts to clients.
  • Develop new 360o creative approaches.
  • Contribute, through an innovative approach, to the constant evolution of Astucemedia’s creative product and services.
  • Manage and drive the conception, multimedia direction, and delivery. 
  • Work closely with the client and ensure the overall quality of the projects and their objectives.
  • Ensure quality control, including Be responsible of brand guidelines and design guides;
  • Manage and coach the creative teams in the development of concepts;
  • Stimulate and guide creative research;
  • Participate in business development;
  • Work with other members of the creative team to resolve any unforeseen issues that arise during the creative, production and delivery process.
  • Participate in meetings with the creative team during concept development, design and on-site integration

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in graphic design or similar field but we really aren’t picky… if you have the experience, talent and the skills to back it up, then we want to see what you can do.

Experience and skills

  • 4-8 years experience in a similar role in a creative agency or on the client side.
  • Understanding of the creative process.
  • Ability to come up with concepts and designs.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Adobe suite.
  • Fluency in English both written and spoken.
  • Experience in live news branding
