Hybrid Work Model

For team members situated within 50 kms/31 miles of our five global offices in Ottawa, Eldoret, Penang, Columbus, and Amsterdam, you can expect to come into the office at least one day a week. Job Description

Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Data Intelligence, the Data Intelligence Analyst will have a wide range of duties, all of which are in the spirit of ensuring data quality and accuracy in the Assent platform, to make a strategic impact on the overall success of our customers' programs. The Analyst will play an integral role in managing client data in the Assent Platform.

Key Requirements and Responsibilities

  • Leverage Excel, SQL, and R/Python to perform validation checks on customer data. Responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity, and accuracy of Data and providing system feedback to stakeholders.

  • Manage customer data through uploads and updates using internal tools.

  • Proactively communicate issues and findings with Assent stakeholders.

  • Perform basic data analysis on client data requests; conduct data investigation on standard and standard plus data discrepancies and provide a report of findings to the relevant stakeholders.

  • Assist with transformation, and adaptation of data to meet best practices; 

  • Design innovative solutions that align with business objectives, utilizing best practices and industry standards.

  • Execute data preparation activities for the Data Intelligence team, including but not limited to pre-ingestion activities.

  • Work with the Data Intelligence Specialists and Leads to fulfill team objectives and assist with team projects.

  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to implement automation solutions that align with business objectives.

  • Ensure timely delivery of solutions while adhering to project timelines.

  • Keep up to date with new regulations and changes in Assent’s products to become an expert in your field.

  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, security protocols, and data integrity requirements.

  • Be familiar with corporate security policies and follow the guidance set out by the processes and procedures of Assent.

Qualifications

Your Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Higher Diploma from a recognized learning institution.

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in areas such as research and data, scripting, coding, programming languages, customer support and services.

  • Intermediate SQL, R and Python skills and interest in self-learning

  • Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical team members.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to work with team members in delivering high-quality solutions within specified timelines.

  • Time management skills and the ability to adhere to assigned deadlines;

  • You are a critical thinker and can suggest, implement, and support efficient and effective operations;

  • Solutions-first attitude, self-motivated to proactively engage with our suppliers through multiple channels;

  • Builds productive and congenial working relationships internally and externally in the interest of supporting our customers’ needs; 

  • You are naturally curious about technology or how things work;

  • You consider yourself a lifelong learner - you have an insatiable thirst for knowledge, are always striving to self-improve, and are coachable;
