Job Description

Business Development Representative “BDR” works on identifying opportunities at provided named accounts through outbound cold-calling, building relationships and qualifying leads for Account Executives. 

A successful BDR will engage with top compliance leaders and position Assent’s unique approach to solving the “compliance puzzle”. As a Business Development Representative, you’ll have a significant impact on the growth of our business through new customer acquisition, interaction with our leadership team and scaling pipelines to meet our growth plans.

Key Requirements & Responsibilities 

  • Leverage all available marketing resources and advanced sales development tactics in order to generate highly qualified meetings from target Accounts within relevant industries;

  • Drive pipeline growth by scheduling qualified appointments with Account Executives;

  • Qualify leads, as well as prospect into ideal prospective companies;

  • Engage with top compliance leaders to drive growth;

  • Manage and monitor your work using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool;

  • Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly targets;

  • Participate in weekly meetings and articulate market feedback;

  • Follow guidance set out by corporate security policies and standards;

  • Ensure departmental security processes and procedures are followed where applicable.

  • Be familiar with corporate security policies and follow the guidance set out by processes and procedures of Assent.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one-year experience providing exceptional service in a Tele-Sales role;

  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills - you are able to work effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders;

  • Can work independently and as part of a team;

  • Experience tracking and reporting on customer activity;

  • Experience working with a CRM tool would be considered an asset;

  • Are able to manage sensitive and critical client information;

  • You have a strong work ethic- you are self-motivated, hungry to win, and challenge yourself to take as many calls as you can without sacrificing quality of support;

  • Ability to handle a large volume of repetitive tasks with grace and vigour;

  • You are committed to providing excellent customer support over the phone and email, representing Assent in the most positive, professional and effective way;

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills - ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines;

  • You are highly adaptable, flexible and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment;

  • You are a critical thinker and can suggest, implement, and support efficient and effective operations;

  • You have an insatiable thirst for knowledge - you consider yourself a lifelong learner and naturally curious about technology or how things work;

  • You have grit - you are conscientious, resilient are dedicated to achieving excellence and driving results;

  • You are open to feedback, coachable and are always striving to self-improve;

  • You are proficient in the use of MS Office Suite and Google Applications.
