Aspray24 is a well-established privately run business, with a strong national network throughout the UK, specialising in next day delivery, logistics and International Transport, established for over 30 years.

An opportunity has arisen for a Depot Chargehand to assist the Depot Management Team in the day to day running of the depot. Essentially, you will be responsible for ensuring all freight passing through the depot is handled in a safe and secure manner.

As a Depot Chargehand you will also be responsible for:

·Carrying out day to day administration tasks including incident/accident reports.

·Carrying out maintenance & compliance checks on Fork Lift Trucks.

·Ensuring operators comply with Company Guidelines on manual/mechanical handling with reference to safe loading and unloading of vehicles,

·Ensuring that you comply with company policy and procedures in terms of Health & Safety and reportable accidents.

·Ensuring all personnel comply with Company Health & Safety policies and procedures.

·Depot husbandry – internal/external

The ideal candidate would display a genuine interest in progressing their career within Aspray24 and display good work ethic. The candidate would need to be computer literate, confident using Microsoft Office whilst being able to work under pressure. This is a permanent opportunity with genuine career prospects working a day shift.
