This position develops a multi-year category roadmap, aligns demand and service requirements across the business, and shapes the supplier ecosystem, commercial models, and governance needed to support financial performance, operational resilience, asset reliability, and scalable growth. As the primary owner of value realization within assigned areas, this position delivers measurable, Finance-validated cost savings year over year and drives consistent, data-driven outcomes within a Source-to-Pay (S2P) environment, including tools such as Coupa. This position reports to the Interim Procurement Leadership.

The budgeted salary range for this position is $97,800 - $119,700. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Job Posting Deadline

Applications for this position will be accepted until 12/1/2026

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities

  • Own the enterprise MRO category strategy and multi-year roadmap across materials, parts, equipment, and contracted trade services, including a three- to five-year strategy that is refreshed annually and defines the category vision, spend segmentation, value levers, capability priorities, and implementation roadmap
  • Establish a fact-based category baseline and segment MRO spend, demand, assets, service requirements, criticality, and supply markets to identify strategic value opportunities
  • Shape enterprise approaches to demand management, specification and scope standardization, supplier rationalization, and service delivery models, including cross-functional governance of material specifications, service scopes, labor categories, and preventive maintenance standards that reduces complexity and challenges consumption patterns without compromising safety, quality, code compliance, or asset performance
  • Define the inventory and critical-parts strategy with Operations, Maintenance, Finance, and Inventory teams, including stocking principles, critical-spares segmentation, service-level targets, replenishment models, and working-capital improvement opportunities
  • Build and manage a rolling, prioritized savings pipeline and annual savings plan of sourcing, demand management, inventory, specification, service delivery, and supplier initiatives, with Finance-validated baselines, benefits, timing, owners, dependencies, and risk-adjusted forecasts
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing for MRO service providers, including market assessment, scope and requirements development, prequalification, requests for proposal, bidder evaluation, due diligence, site and stakeholder validation, negotiation, award recommendation, and implementation
  • Develop commercial strategies and category-specific contracting frameworks that balance total cost, asset uptime, service levels, workforce capacity, safety, sustainability, regulatory requirements, and operational risk, including time-and-materials, fixed-price, unit-rate, retainer, and performance-based models
  • Apply total cost of ownership, market intelligence, should-cost, labor-rate benchmarking, and scenario analysis to guide sourcing and contracting decisions
  • Lead the development, negotiation, implementation, renewal, and termination of service agreements, and govern service-provider contracts from mobilization through renewal or exit, including labor and material rates, service-level commitments, response and resolution times, warranties, insurance, licensing, safety, regulatory compliance, indemnification, change controls, audit rights, and exit provisions
  • Design the MRO supplier and service-provider ecosystem across manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and technical service providers, including strategic segmentation, consolidation, geographic and trade coverage, capacity planning, self-perform versus outsource decisions, emergency response coverage, and contingency sources
  • Develop executive-level supplier and service-provider relationships and lead business reviews and joint value plans that advance innovation, reliability, productivity, sustainability, technology enablement, workforce capability, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Establish performance and risk frameworks that provide visibility to service quality, response and resolution, supply continuity, compliance, contract value, and operational risk, and track category performance, including cost avoidance, working capital, and supplier and service-provider performance
  • Establish annual savings targets with Procurement and Finance, govern savings definitions, baselines, validation, and realization, and own a monthly savings forecast that reconciles actual, forecasted, and committed results and explains variances, changes in confidence, timing shifts, and value at risk
  • Produce and present a recurring executive savings dashboard and periodic performance reviews to senior leadership covering annual targets, realized and forecasted savings, in-year run rate, pipeline coverage, forecast confidence, initiative status, and value at risk, with root causes, corrective actions, accountable owners, and the leadership decisions required
  • Identify and address value leakage, maverick spend, savings shortfalls, and compliance gaps through documented recovery plans with clear owners, deadlines, and executive visibility, and ensure adherence to contracts, preferred suppliers, and procurement policies
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for aligning stakeholders across Operations, Finance, and functional teams, leading discussions to resolve competing priorities among cost, service, and operational requirements and influencing decisions with clear recommendations, tradeoffs, and data-driven insights
  • Drive adoption of sourcing processes and tools, such as Coupa, across stakeholders, ensure sourcing activities are executed with visibility, consistency, and data integrity, partner with analytics and procurement operations to improve reporting and performance tracking, and support continuous improvement of sourcing processes and governance
