Job Description

The Lead Mountain Sales Agent plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving sales across all Aspen Snowmass products including lift tickets, rentals, lessons, and activities. As a frontline leader, this position mentors and supports agents to consistently exceed guest expectations and achieve sales goals. The Lead fosters a positive and collaborative team environment that prioritizes guest satisfaction and seamless service delivery. This position reports to the Ticket Supervisor.

Essential Job Functions / Key Job Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate closely with the Mountain Sales office management team and key personnel across mountain operations to support department goals and promote effective communication 
  • Mentor and support agents by providing ongoing training in operating standards product knowledge upselling techniques and guest service excellence while assisting with complex guest situations to ensure positive experiences 
  • Assist with daily reporting and sales tracking to measure team performance and identify opportunities for growth 
  • Identify and implement creative ideas to increase revenue reduce costs and elevate the guest experience within the department and across the company 
  • Actively sell and promote seasonal products including lift tickets rentals lessons and activities to maximize sales opportunities 
  • Investigate and resolve guest ticketing issues promptly while adhering to company policies and maintaining guest satisfaction 
  • Engage guests proactively both indoors and outdoors assist with smooth flow through lift access gates and help prevent ticket and pass fraud 
  • Pursue continuous learning to stay current on Aspen Skiing Company products events software and advanced sales techniques 
  • Educate guests about Aspen Skiing Company’s Environment and Caring for Community Foundations to enhance guest connection and awareness 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred 
  • Minimum of one year of professional experience required; resort experience preferred 
  • Minimum of one year of experience using a Point-of-Sale (POS) system required 
  • Proven record of positively leading a team preferred 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

  • Fluent in English, with knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese a plus to enhance guest communication 
  • Proven experience using Point-of-Sale (POS) systems confidently and accurately, with strong money handling skills ensuring transactional accuracy and trust 
  • Strong computer proficiency including fast typing skills and the ability to navigate and troubleshoot multiple software systems to support smooth guest transactions and team operations 
  • In-depth knowledge of Aspen Skiing Company products, services, and sales techniques to maximize guest satisfaction and revenue 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and positive relationships with guests and team members 
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills to clearly interact with guests and resolve concerns quickly, maintaining satisfaction 
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technology systems and processes, supporting seamless guest service 
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage sales documentation and reporting accurately 
  • Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and foster teamwork in a fast-paced guest-focused environment 

Additional Information

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Ability to be on your feet, kneel and bend for extended periods of time
  • Regularly work in adverse conditions and requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements as well as an office environment and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces 
  • Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
