Job Description
Position Summary
The Inventory Data & Systems Analyst is responsible for owning the end-to-end integrity, governance, and performance of inventory and item master data, enabling disciplined, system-driven inventory management and purchasing across the organization. This role is responsible for inventory data and system controls, ensuring that item setup and system configurations effectively support inventory processes. Working across Procurement, Operations, Finance, and suppliers, this role supports a controlled, data-driven capability that delivers measurable cost and operational improvements. This position reports to the Procurement Operations Manager.
The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions / Key Responsibilities
Item Master Ownership & Data Governance (Core Accountability)
- Own creation, maintenance, and standardization of all item master records (descriptions, units of measure (UOM), categories, pricing, supplier linkage)
- Establish and enforce enterprise item naming conventions, classification structures, and data standards
- Manage full item lifecycle (creation, updates, rationalization, deactivation of obsolete items), while identifying and resolving data quality issues
Inventory Operations & Control Enablement
- Enable and maintain inventory controls including par levels, reorder points, and replenishment logic
- Support and validate inventory transactions (receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments, cycle counts)
- Ensure accurate inventory tracking, valuation, and reconciliation across systems
Analytics, Insights & Performance Management
- Develop dashboards and reporting to provide visibility into inventory health, performance and financial impact
- Translate data into actionable recommendations to reduce waste, optimize inventory levels, and improve margins
- Support Finance with inventory valuation accuracy and reporting
Supplier, Catalog & System Enablement
- Maintain supplier-item relationships, including pricing, pack sizes, and ordering configurations
- Support catalog enablement and item availability for inventory items within Coupa
- Validate supplier data and ensure alignment with item master and purchasing processes
Procurement Modernization & Coupa Inventory Enablement
- Support implementation, testing, and optimization of inventory capabilities within Coupa and support rollout, adoption, and stabilization of inventory processes
Process Standardization & Continuous Improvement
- Document and standardize inventory processes, policies, controls and identify inefficiencies and gaps in inventory workflows and recommend improvements while working to drive adoption of best practices

Qualifications
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience in lieu of degree (Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field)
- 1+ years of experience in inventory management, item master data, procurement operations, or supply chain analytics
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experience with inventory, ERP, or procurement systems (e.g., Coupa or similar)
- Experience in inventory-intensive environments (hospitality, retail, food service) preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy, consistency, and control
- Ability to proactively identify and resolve data integrity issues
- Strong understanding of inventory concepts (par levels, replenishment, usage tracking, valuation)
- Ability to connect item setup to operational workflows and real-world usage
- Awareness of key risks: overstocking, stockouts, shrink, and waste
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
- Ability to analyze trends, identify root causes, and recommend solutions
- Strong ability to translate data into business insights
- Ability to support system configuration, testing, and adoption
- Ability to act as subject matter expert for inventory and item master within the S2P environment
- Ability to work effectively with Procurement, Operations, Finance, and suppliers
- Clear communication of data issues, requirements, and process changes
- Service-oriented mindset with strong responsiveness and follow-through
- Balances individual accountability with team collaboration to achieve collective outcomes
Additional Information
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements
- No adverse or hazardous conditions
- Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance
