Job Description
Position Summary
This position is responsible for developing and implementing both external and select internal communications tactics for the Aspen One organization, with the ability to flex into both spaces equally and support across the entirety of the Aspen One Corporate & Brand Communications team. This role will be important to ensuring employee stories are uncovered and elevated appropriately through internal and external channels, as well as supporting the company newsletter and key company initiatives being shared effectively across the organization.
The budgeted salary range for this position is $62,000 - $81,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities
- Support in-resort media & influencer hosting needs, including support with developing itineraries and working with partners to develop full-scope hosted visits.
- Support development of external materials including messaging, announcements, fact sheets and media kits, briefing books and more.
- Provide media and key messaging support for company events and initiatives, assist in creating comms plans and strategies
- Provide administrative support, including maintaining media lists, handling press inquiries and managing calendars
- Uncover compelling and relevant company stories and support communicating them in ways that align with the Aspen One brand and business objectives that can be leveraged both internally and externally.
- Work as liaison with HR team; develop the weekly company newsletter in partnership with HR and Communications leadership on a cadence that is appropriate.
- Develop and maintain editorial calendar for Aspen One and Aspen Hospitality LinkedIn channels; execute posts on regular cadence and engage in community management.
Qualifications
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or related field
- 5 years of experience writing in a corporate environment
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language
- Proficient writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to forge relationships across business units and teams
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to demonstrate active listening and translation for storytelling
- Ability to “story mine” – to seek out employee stories and interesting business developments for internal (and at times, external) storytelling purposes

Work Environment & Physical Demands
• Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements
• No adverse or hazardous conditions
• Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
