Job Description
Summary
The Lead Bartender for Eleven212 supports the restaurant management team by promoting team work, ensuring quality service standards are met, maintaining the bar inventory, and overseeing staff scheduling. The Lead Bartender is also familiar with a wide variety of drinks and is capable of delivering quality customer service. Responsibilities involve mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to patrons at the bar and in the restaurant in a timely and professional manner. This position will report to the Experience Manager.

Essential Job Functions
- Oversees the inventory of liquor, wine, and beer in the bar, ordering new supplies when necessary, and organizing storage space for bottles
- Ensures quality of drinks and service are met
- Teaches new teammates bar standards and best practices
- Maintains overall cleanliness of the bar area; Ensures the bar and bar areas are in suitable condition at opening, closing, and throughout all hours of operation
- Assists with staff scheduling
- Assists with food order preparation, displays basic knowledge of prep techniques and food allergies
- Oversees opening and closing duties; Balances bank at the start and end of each shift
- Articulates knowledge of the wine, beer, cocktails and food items offered on the menu
- Ensures that all guests are greeted and served timely, and leave happy
- Provides alcoholic beverage service to guests
- Operates Point of Sale system and handles cash/credit transactions
- Uses sales techniques to suggest additional items and enhance the guest experience
- Participates in daily cleaning operations for the restaurant, which can include checking bathrooms are clean, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming
- Assists as a restaurant server if needed
- Assists with snow removal as required by specific restaurant, which may include moving deck furniture
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older
- 1+ years previous food and beverage experience required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficient knowledge of wine
- Knowledge of state liquor laws
- Basic knowledge of alcoholic beverages and cocktail creation methods preferred
- Knowledge of local attractions, restaurants and activities
- Mixology Skills
- Ability to work outdoors
- Ability to maintain a positive, professional, team-player attitude
- Ability to work outdoors at high elevation for entire shift
- Ability to maintain a positive, professional, team-player attitude
- Proficient math skills and the ability to handle cash out process and manually calculate bills/tax rates
- TIPS Certified preferred
- Ability to ski or ride at an intermediate level is required for employees of ski in/ski out restaurants in winter preferred
- Ability to communicate and follow oral or written directions in English
Additional Information
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, bend or be on your feet for extended periods of time
- Regularly work in wet, cold, hot conditions requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
- Must be able to regularly lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
