Position Summary

The Ecommerce Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting online sales growth while working with Sr. Ecommerce Manager to optimize customer experiences across digital platforms. This position is responsible for updating product content across all Aspen One ecommerce channels, supporting product launches for each business unit (BU). This role helps to execute ecommerce strategy, collaborating with cross-functional team and BU teams. This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Ecommerce.

The budgeted salary range for this position is $58,656- $73,320. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintain and update product listings and content on ecommerce platforms.
  • Assists with product content updates on all product and website pages across the Aspen One portfolio.
  • Manage ecommerce search engine optimization (SEO) strategy across all BUs.
  • Working in collaboration with digital product and User Experience (UX) teams, maintain and elevate look, feel and design of ecommerce sites, prioritizing improvements to UX and guest journey based on analytics and data.
  • Execute on cross-sell/upsell strategy for both individual and across BUs.
  • Works with website and ecommerce development vendor and digital product team to manage and groom maintenance backlog and implement new components and features to improve the user experience.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including BU stakeholders and Product Administration to understand product requirements and information.
  • Optimize priority content and tools to reduce frictions for our guests including trip planning tools, leveraging heat maps and site analytics.
  • Work closely with Digital Marketing managers to ensure products are aligned with website strategy.
  • Aligns with content team to enforce adherence to content strategy across ecommerce sites, including brand guidelines.
  • Works with creative teams to coordinate photo and video asset needs for product pages on websites and ecommerce.
  • Adjusts product positioning or assets based on analytics and product performance.
  • Troubleshoots, resolves, or escalates digital issues for both brand and ecommerce sites.
  • Writes, edits, and proofs product content as needed. Ecommerce copy writing a plus.
  • Works closely with email teams to ensure product information is accurate and correct.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with preferred emphasis in digital marketing and/or IT
  • 2-5 years of experience with digital marketing or ecommerce merchandising in a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience interfacing with technology & product teams 

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Proficient understanding of digital technologies
  • Proficient knowledge of content management systems and tools and how they interface with websites and digital technology
  • Proficient knowledge with Sitecore End user/Digital Marketing Suite and/or Shopify
  • Proficient knowledge of digital strategy with regards to ecommerce, SEO, online conversion, strategic enhancements, personalization, usability testing, and next generation digital solutions
  • Experience managing multiple large and complex projects from initial planning stages through conception, design, execution, delivery, and ongoing support
  • Experience with mobile web presentation theory and responsive design methodologies, user testing, and mobile e-commerce a plus
  • Experience working with Google Analytics and reporting
  • Ability to work collaboratively & effectively with cross-functional leaders and their teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate with a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements  
  • No adverse or hazardous conditions 
  • Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance
