Job Description
Summary
The eLearning content developer for Aspen One is integral in boosting the capabilities and effectiveness of our teams across our diverse business units. This position is responsible for creating eLearning and development materials catering to each division's unique needs: Aspen Hospitality, Aspen Skiing Company, ASPENX and Aspen One. Designing eLearning experiences that resonate with employees across all organizational levels, from entry-level hourly staff to top-tier executives, is essential to the success of this role.
The budgeted salary range for this position is $61,134 - $85,588. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions
- Collaborate with subject matter experts across various business units to identify training needs and objectives
- Design and develop eLearning content, including interactive modules, gaming, videos, simulations, and assessments
- Create engaging multimedia elements, including animations, simulations, videos, and interactive exercises, to enhance learning experiences
- Develop and edit multimedia assets, including audio narration, graphics, images, and videos, to enhance eLearning content
- Conduct thorough quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy, functionality, and usability of eLearning courses
- Test eLearning content across different browsers, devices, and platforms to ensure compatibility and responsiveness.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Communicate project status, updates, and challenges to stakeholders and contribute to ongoing process improvements
- Utilize content authoring tools (such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar software) to create interactive and multimedia-rich learning experiences.
- Implement learning management system (LMS) functionalities to deliver, track, and evaluate training programs
- Evaluate and update existing training content to reflect evolving business needs, industry best practices, and feedback from learners.
- Utilize emerging trends and technologies in eLearning and adult education to innovate and improve training offerings.

Qualifications
- Proficiency in Adobe Captivate or similar software
- Proficiency in Adobe Premier, Audition, Character Animator, Photoshop
- Portfolio that represents experience, skills, and abilities
- 3 years in eLearning/curriculum development in a rapid development environment
- Strong understanding of individual learning differences, adult learning theory, and instructional design principles
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and experience in course deployment and administration
- Ability to leverage a Learning Management System to report to stakeholders and upload content
- Excellent multimedia production skills, including videography, video editing, audio editing, and graphic design
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Working knowledge of SCORM and xAPI standards for eLearning content delivery
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor's degree in eLearning Content Development, Education, Instructional Design, Multimedia Design, or a related field preferred
- Bilingual a plus
Additional Information
Supervision Given and Received:
Supervision given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Supervision received: Works under direct supervision of Director of Engagement and Development. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Ability to be on your feet, kneel and bend for extended periods of time
- Regularly work in adverse conditions and require protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements and an office environment and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces.
- Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance.
